Outstanding issues Chelsea has faced as of late, from a layman's perspective.

[THREAD]
1. Failure to score tap-ins or to get into positions to score tap-ins. The strikers need to be brave in this sense, to score easy goals. Such balls need to be slotted in, especially by strikers. Olivier Giroud in the game against Wolves and Tammy Abraham are guilty of this.
Here's an example each of the two problems I mentioned.
Thankfully it looks like the team is already working on fixing this problem if we take into consideration Tuchel's first training video. Hopefully we see results of this in the coming matches.
2. Conceding goals because of sloppy defending/failure to defend near the 18 yard box, generally just inside it. This generally means poor man marking and inadequate clearances. Defenders are unable to cover enough area and the opponents often end up forcing a foul or scoring.
This problem can be seen in almost all of our recent games and has caused us to concede a few crucial goals.
3. Conceding to counter-attacks. Our defence looks almost scared when the opponent team counter-attacks. Inadequate clearances and inability to cut passing lanes can easily cause the opponent to score an undeserved goal against the run of play like it almost did vs Wolves.
This is probably the most dangerous of these 3 problems, as it can directly cause us to drop points in a frustrating manner in a situation where we are leading by a goal or are level.
Hopefully these 3 problems will be fixed as we saw with the noticeable drop in amount of back and side passes within just 24 hours of Tuchel's reign.
