If I was to create a real-time channel to sit in and occasionally throw thoughts out regarding a new projects I'm working on where should I put it such that people would be likely to also sit around and occasionally throw thoughts out?

More detail: Twitter is great for broadcasting info but mostly sucks for conversation and it's gotten worse over time. I have some ideas for projects that would benefit idle chatter and would like a dedicated space for that.

Part of this is nostalgia for my irc teenage years, but logistics wise I think its likely a necessary step to push forward on some long standing problems/projects that we don't have time/people/funding to tackle alone.
