Look, reporters need to stop casting Kevin McCarthy's actions as strictly being power motivated. Only a racist, anti-democratic person would align himself with Trump. Because if you are anti-racist and pro-democracy you are necessarily anti-trump. Its really really simple
Just because McCarthy would be ok with a less racist Republican Party doesn't negate this basic fact.
And McCarthy is a grown ass man. Casting this in any other terms than "Kevin McCarthy is a racist anti-democratic political leader" is to act as if he isn't capable of making decisions and being responsible for them.
there's no reason to fencewalk on this, and EVERY REASON not to. Speak the truth.
