My eyebrow always twitches whenever I see Binghe call his Shizun 'a-yuan'.

Like, I understand with a past life reveal things can change and bring Binghe and Sqq closer together, but not like that. It's really weird to see Binghe suddenly change course and call Sqq that.
First reason is that SY is quite alright with his name as SQQ. He immediately adopted the name and identity of Shen Qingqiu straight in chapter one. He was fine with gaining a new identity, he was just aghast that his role was a scum villain. I don't think he would be that
excited to go back to his first identity. Even when he met up with Airplane they never revealed personal names, just their dumbass usernames. Their past life was truly dead and gone.

Mxtx was pretty specific about this too, as author she pretty much only ever called SY as SQQ.
The second reason why calling SY!SQQ 'a-yuan' is weird is cuz that is a child's name.

With Sqq being a Shizun, an immortal of great respect, and an older person in general, Binghe would never lower his love's position like that. It diminishes Sqq's status.
The third reason is that it that calling Sqq 'a-yuan' erases his identity as Sqq. In like, a literary sense(?). He may not have started out as Sqq, but he has grown the name and identity into his own style. By calling him a-yuan, it feels like it's erasing his presence and the
things he has done as Sqq. He raised Luo Binghe, betrayed Luo Binghe, and fell in love with Luo Binghe as Sqq.

Shen Qingqiu is not a mask for Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan is just simply Shen Qingqiu.
