1 like = 1 email marketing tip.

First one is free:

If you send out an evergreen broadcast email that performs well, add it to your automated sequence so all new subscribers get it as well.
Tip 2:

Look back at your previous emails. If you see one that worked well, create a similar email. Do more of what works.
Tip 3:

Open rates aren't important. Focus on sending the right message to the right people.

20% open rate with $1000 revenue is better than 50% open rate with $800 revenue.
Tip 4:

Sell the open with your subject line.

Sell the read with the content of your email.

Sell the click with your call to action.
Tip 5:

The time of day you send your email isn't important.

If your messaging is on point, people will click and read your email.

That said, there is a benefit to sending at the same time every time, which is why I recommend writing emails in advance and scheduling them out.

Tip 6:

Long emails work.

Short emails work.

Make them as short as they have to be, but no shorter.

Not every message can be condensed into 250 words, so don't be afraid to write more.

But also don't be afraid to cut out the fluff.

Sending the right message is top priority.
Tip 7:

Do you need to sell in every email?

No.

But there should at least be the opportunity to learn more about your offer, even if it's just a link at the bottom of your email.

That said, I still recommend at least a short pitch in every email you send.
Tip 8:

-Hook
-Story
-Close

This timeless email format works over and over.

The better you get at each section, the better your results will be.

Just remember to always have your audience in mind when writing your emails and you're good to go.
Tip 9:

Create compelling subject lines by using curiosity, contrast, and teasing information your audience wants.

You want to share enough in the subject to get the click, but not so much that it spoils the entire email.
Tip 10:

Telling relevant stories in your emails is one of the best ways to build a real connection with your audience.

Share stories from your own experiences, your customers experiences, or even stories from other people in your industry that tie into your brand and offer.
Tip 11:

Your Call To Action (or CTA) is super important to drive results from your emails.

It doesn't always have to be a link to buy, but I do recommend it as your primary CTA.

You can also ask your subscribers to reply to your email, watch a video, read an article, and more
Tip 12:

Automation is gold.

Automate emails to welcome your new subscribers.

Automate emails to follow up with sales leads.

Automate emails to welcome new customers.

You can automate nearly everything with basic email marketing software these days.
Tip 13:

Weekly broadcast emails are the absolute minimum for ongoing email marketing campaigns.

2-3 emails per week is usually better.

5 emails per week can work too.

Daily emails also work great when done right, but "done right" is the key here.

2-3 is my go-to for most.
Tip 14:

Lead magnets are overrated.

You don't need one.

They can help you grow your list, but just make sure your lead magnet is helping you attract the right kind of subscribers.
Tip 15:

An alternative to lead magnets is creating a landing page that sells the value of your email content.

People who subscribe to read your emails specifically are more likely to open and read your emails, even if your subject lines could use work.
Tip 16:

Your welcome email should set the stage for the content you're going to send out.

Tell your subscribers what to expect, offer some value up front, and let them know about how you can help them further, aka your products or services.
Tip 17:

Unless you're being a complete ass in your emails (which isn't the case if you're reading these tips), unsubscribes are never a bad thing.

Don't fret it.

Keep sharing your message.
Tip 18:

Interestingly enough, telling people how to unsubscribe in your welcome email might even build MORE trust with your subscribers, especially if they aren't on a lot of newsletters.
Tip 19:

Deleting inactive subscribers is a double edged sword.

Yes, your stats will go up.

But lurkers won't be able to buy in the future.

Instead, segment your list based on your most active subscribers and put together a reactivation campaign for inactives.
Tip 20:

Email marketing is different for an ecom store than it is for an info product creator or service provider.

Ecommerce stores will need more segmentation.

Info products/services *may* not need any.
Tip 21:

COLLABORATING WITH OTHER LIST OWNERS IN YOUR NICHE IS AN ABSOLUTE GOLDMINE
Tip 22:

Put a Facebook Pixel on your site now if you haven't already.

The data you get from it makes it insanely easy to attract new engaged subscribers with Facebook Ads.
Tip 23:

Write like you're a human writing to another human.

Sounds weird, but it works.

Because that's what email actually is.
