It is a logical fallacy to discard a thought based on who offered it up, BUT... I would like to offer a point to consider. Is it possible that the awful people who we are finally recognizing as awful have awful ideas from which THEY profit?

If so, is it possible that the foundations of conservatism may need to be reconsidered? Most countries have better social safety nets and healthcare, while having less income inequality and poverty. Free markets can be harnessed without being unduly stifled.

Having read @stuartpstevens "It Was All a Lie," @KevinMKruse "One Nation Under God, and parts of books by Nobel Prize-winning economists (Krugman, Stiglitz), it seems obvious to me now that much of what was standard conservative thought is flawed.

So maybe, for a while at least, we should look at the "radical" policy positions from the Left WITHOUT running them through a flawed dogmatic filter that we've grown up on. Maybe Bernie's modern money policies will work (can't be worse than we've got).

Maybe rethinking military as a proportion of our budget, or at least requiring a degree of openness, is a good thing. Maybe reconsider education funding without allowing "privatize it" into the debate for once. Maybe we should consider the un-considerable for a while.
