Oh my god. One party ignited an insurrection in which 5 people died this month. Watching @tedcruz @DLoesch @TomBevanRCP @RandPaul try to take the attack on
@SteveScalise several years ago and posit some equivalence between these two acts is just cynical to the bone. 1/
Everyone knows that the riot on Capitol Hill was egged on for weeks since the election by Mr. Trump and member of the @GOP. The shooting of @SteveScalise was not instigated by any political party, nor by anyone in the US government. 2/
But it doesn't matter get it? Being a Republican never means having to say you're sorry. Just blame it on the other guy. This was once the part of personal responsibility and family values, what a fucking sham. 3/
They actually don't care about what happened on Capitol Hill. It doesn't register for them except as a hiccup in their political journey. They'll embrace white supremacy, creeping authoritarianism, as long as it works for them. 4/
The @GOP is unsalvageable. Those on the center-right now have a choice. Break with the party once and for all or have its current iteration define your legacy forever. Most will come for the power, stay for the hatred, lies and cruelty. The great national project now? 5/
Getting rid of these people by out-organizing them, state by state and sending them into the wilderness forever. They are unredeemable. All of them. end/
