It's absolutely ok to be upset or hesitant about #BellLetsTalk
day, but I think I should give credit where it's due. In my life, this day has sparked conversation. I take this day to teach about resources at work. My parents learn more about mental health every year through it

It's a day where everyone has time to mentally prepare (somewhat) for discussions around mental health. Everyone is a bit more ready to open up. It is also a reminder to check in with myself - am I doing a better job of taking care of my mental health this year? #BellLetsTalk

It's absolutely a day where politicians hypocritically advocate for mental health while shutting down legislation that would save lives, and we should be critical of them for it. But in my daily life, over the years, it has fostered a lot of discussion and growth #BellLetsTalk

So maybe #BellLetsTalk
is no longer the most effective means to have this discussion. Maybe it never should have existed. But I am grateful for the ways in which it has positively impacted my life, and the lives of people around me
