🎉The Biden-Harris administration is taking the first step of recommitting the U.S. to global sexual and repro health and rights by rescinding the harmful #GlobalGagRule!
Four years ago, following on the heels of the historic Women’s March, Trump reinstated and radically expanded the #GlobalGagRule, putting lifesaving health services out of reach for people and communities who already had limited access to affordable, high-quality health care.
It’s an unpopular policy with 70% of Americans favoring ending the #globalgagrule so that funding for global health, including contraception, can resume without restrictions.
The #GlobalGagRule is a neocolonialist policy that imposes an extreme anti-abortion ideology on other countries, regardless of their own laws.
Programs shuttered, services were cut, and real lives were lost because of the #GlobalGagRule.
