A lot of attention has been given recently (and rightfully so) to the white man harassers in the Star Wars fandom. The dogpiling is ugly and cruel, but white women aren't off the hook either.

You hate what you're seeing happening now? Then you need to check your own actions too.
I've specifically seen the R/ylo fandom collectively go after women and nonbinary people of color, especially Black women and nb people, for bringing up racist trends in the fandom. I watched them dogpile the POC-run SWRepMatters_ when the account didn't even touch the ship wars
These fans went after writers and bloggers, after John Boyega, after other fans on Twitter, because these people dared to point out racism. To shield themselves from the critiques of racism, they cried "sexism" (while steamrolling other women in the name of their ship).
If you're in this subfandom, when someone tells you "hey, this thing you're doing is racist," you need to listen, and you need to hold your fellow fans accountable. "Racism has no place here," means squat if you don't actually confront it or dismiss it as a "rehash of discourse."
