Yes, today’s actions will have a very real impact on many people’s lives, but let’s not pretend that they’re going to save the crumbling remnants of Roe.
The same systems that have been harming Black and Brown people who need abortions since 1976 and earlier, and all through COVID, still exist.
If you’re going to say that “Black women saved the Democratic Party” why do you consistently ignore one of our biggest asks: Repeal Hyde.

Black women and genderqueer people have the highest proportion of abortions. Make it more accessible and free. Respect us. Show up for us.
When people show you who they are, believe them.
