Peter Nygard is back in court via video from Headingley jail. His lawyers will present a new bail plan to the judge in an effort to secure Nygard’s release. The hearing begins at 10am.
Scott Farlinger is representing the Attoney General of Canada on behalf of the United States of America. He is here in court. Jay Prober and Richard Wolson, Nygard’s lawyers are on the phone. So are sureties Greg Fenske and Steve Mager. Justice Shawn Greenberg is in court.
Prober says there is an urgent matter he needs to address related to a CBC story about Nygard’s passport. He says CBC has been duped and the story is inaccurate.
Interestingly, when we sent the photo of the passport to Jay Prober and Richard Wolson to ask for clarification on the date discrepancy Prober’s response was no comment because the matter is before the courts.
He chose not to clarify the issue and instead brought it up in court in order to accuse the CBC and an alleged victim of being out to get Nygard.
