Bonus : Cristiano Ronaldo.
The costliest player in the world then, Ronaldo was, thankfully, one of the Galactico who was spared by this spell but incidentally, his tendonitis condition, which developed during the last phases of 2013-14 had multiple effects. (1/2)

1. His playstyle underwent a severe change and though he managed to cope up, his flair and attributes like dribbling, freekick conversion came down.
2. He was forced to be rested many games and thereby potentially could have got even more accolades to him.

There are no complaints as he completed what could arguably be one of the best stint by a Real Madrid player but the spell caught on.
It is also noticeable how the costliest buy in each window or the higher bracket buys are affected the most. No luck.
Possible reasons :
1. Rumoured wierd and complex training routine of Real.
2. Fixture congestion due to advancing in many competitions.
3. There are allegations about the incompetency of medical support team Sanitas but it's not for sure.

If not for any of the above, it's simple misfortune, a strange case of coincidence. Injuries affected while at national duty has also played a part of this.
I do not intend to downplay any player or put up excuse in this thread but just to point out the unfortunate occurrence of incessant injuries happening to Real Madrid's key players. So, Peace.

End of thread.
