I’ve seen so much said online about Bridgerton and The Queen’s Gambit and other acclaimed prestige shows, but nowhere near enough love for one of the truest gems on television right now:

BLUEY
Though they’re heeler pups, it’s one of the most loving and accurate portrayals of parenthood.

The dad is one of the best dads. Ever. Bravo for depicting fatherhood in this way.
Another reason it’s one of my favorite shows? At the end of every episode it makes our kids want to go play together. Like big imaginative play. It sparks something in them. Great storytelling does that.
It disarms you in the best way. One moment you’re laughing and the next moment is something so packed with wonder and awe that you can hardly take it in.
This show and Ted Lasso leave you wanting to show up in the world as a better human. It by telling you, but simply by showing you. This is what it looks like when we pack our days with compassion and creativity no matter what comes our way.
I’m not a paid BLUEY influencer (though if such a thing exists, count me in). Joe Brumm and the team at @WePlayLudo have created something very special.

As someone who has been trying for several years now to make things for families on television, Bluey is an adorable miracle.
