1/2 I've said this on here b4, but not since the cop/vet backed U.S. capitol insurrection, so...
When I worked at Barnes & Noble(s) in the 90s, we were allowed to sell any book to any person, with one exception:
We could only sell THE ANARCHIST COOKBOOK to cops.

2/2 A few things:
—Ppl who know tell me this is a shitty book
—Anarchists are NOT seeking out bomb-making cookbooks. Anarchy is abt mutual care!
—Still, seeing so many vets & cops were part of the insurrection, I'm reminded how we allow all violence to be in their hands.

3/2 I wish I'd learned more abt what anarchy REALLY is as a kid. Instead, as I watch Cuba & China evade COVID in 2021, I'm thinking back on dominant political lessons* of my youth:
—Communism bad/capitalism good
—Anarchy bad/cops good
*lessons in general, not from my parents

4/2 Some kind of analogy in here abt letting the cops have THE ANARCHISTS COOKBOOK & not the public and, like, how hedge funds are now saying THEY should be allowed to short sell, but not a Reddit "mob"
(Also I need to stop acting like I know how many tweets will be in a thread)
