Platforms are blocking retail investors from placing GME buy orders. This is a disaster. It's designed to protect retail from themselves, but it will have the unintended consequence of their inevitable coming losses being blamed on a Wall St conspiracy to defraud small investors.
If platforms had just let it be, the bubble would have come and gone and retail would have learnt their lesson the hard way, and wouldn't have anyone to blame but themselves. Now, they will believe their legit gains were ruthlessly stolen from them by Wall St hedge funds.
The "elite" needs to stop being so goddamn paternalistic all the time. Telling "little folk" what they can & can't do, what's good & bad for them, what they are allowed to talk about on social media, etc. People will get very angry & it can have extremist political consequences.
