Green Assembly Members are known for their good ideas.

At the #LondonBudget yesterday - we put forward our boldest ideas yet, with £423 million invested.

If you missed it, here’s what @sianberry and @CarolineRussell proposed for the year ahead 👇
We called for a new plan to move London’s zero carbon target from 2050 to 2030.

London has declared a climate emergency, and it’s time the Mayor acted like it.
We found funding for new investment in safer streets, especially in outer London.

That means improving junctions, adding more crossings to cross the road safely and better learning and engagement on new plans.
We put forward a fully costed plan to provide 2,000 living rent homes to London’s key workers.

We clapped for them every week, but a round of applause doesn’t keep a roof over their head when the rent goes up.
We raised money to fill the gap in youth homelessness services

More young people are facing homelessness than ever before because of Coronavirus, and charities say there just aren't enough dedicated beds.
We proposed a smart, fair road charging study that focuses on engagement with Londoners.

This is part of our clear plan to keep London moving, and ensure that all of us pay our fair share for a decent public transport system, and cleaner, safer streets.
We found money to help London’s independent renters’ rights groups develop and grow.

Renters are being squeezed more badly than ever, with many facing homelessness as the end of the eviction ban looms. We proposed this last year too, but the Mayor didn’t act.
Our ideas are fully costed and completely possible, but the Assembly still voted them down.

We need more Greens elected so good ideas get put into action.

Vote for @sianberry in May, and you will see the difference a Green Mayor can make.
