I don’t understand this “whether you agree with Rajdeep or not but you should defend his rights to free speech”. Was it about free speech? He did something which could have resulted in serious problems.
Also, please don’t forget that he has been a serial offender.
This govt is blamed for things which it never did. Editors and cartoonists have been alleging for years that govt had a hand in them being thrown out of media houses. They would blame the govt anyways. So, why not file FIRs and make an example out of serial offenders?
Remember, Gauri Lankesh was first journalist to get convicted by court for fake news, yet we can’t talk about this aspect about her life.
Is it impossible to separate agenda and fake news from facts and views?
Why is it that only govt has to make adjustments whether it’s about banning a channel for a day or covering of riots, army operations and related offences.
Why can’t these serial offenders amend their ways?
