Let's talk author 'branding' (because yes, I'm working on a draft of a lecture). Do you consciously think about your author brand? Who are authors who you think have a good brand? How do you push beyond feeling awkward marketing yourself and your work? Or navigating limits?
(Replying to this means I have permission to quote you in my lecture. I'll link to your Twitter handle, too.)
Also, as my followers/readers: what do you think my author brand is? Is it consistent even though I've hopped between SF & F & romance? This is weird to ask, but I am curious.
