Anyone remember the days when we all thought bell lets talk day actually did something for mental health awareness

Like as someone who spent so many years struggling with my mental health, I used to passionately take part in this day. But Bell doesn’t care about changing the stigma mental health, they care about free advertising and using people’s personal struggles for monetary gains

Trigger warning: suici** The mental health care system needs more than financial aid to change. Funding isn’t the problem, our doctors are. The mental health care system doesn’t care about you unless you’re dead, dying, or have an actual plan in place.

Because by that point it’s usually too late. Bell has raised millions, if not billions, over the years and yet nothing has fundamentally changed. Any company that can use their platform for that kind of clout deserves to ROT!! Fuck Bell Let’s Talk

And, of course, not to leave out the most obvious issue with this day. Those who relentlessly bullied people for being “different” that once a year like to show us how good of a person they are. You’re not a good person.
