Why Batman Doesn't Kill: In this scene Jason wants to prove his point to Batman that there ARE people who deserve death for their monstrous crimes. He's right, but Jason also badly underestimates how taking a life would affect Batman, who's barely clinging to sanity himself. https://twitter.com/Vjollnir/status/1354719061071040519
Killing someone is a massive responsibility. There are times when it's necessary and times when it's outright murder, but the weight of taking a life can crush you. Law courts exist because the execution of a criminal is something that not just one person can decide on.
It's not because of his Trauma from when his parents were killed, but the inhibitions he lost from it.
Look at what he's capable of doing without killing. If he Let's himself Kill, even once, he won't ever stop. Because it gets far more results.
It isn't about doing the right thing, or being a hero, it's him restraining himself from becoming... well... The Punisher but about 98x more effective.

I feel a lot of people completely miss that, Batman is a multi-faceted character.
Jason is different though. He can kill some people, but won't kill others. He'll only kill those truly deserving or can't stop from killing because he's already died and knows what it means to kill. He's the answer to Batman's no killing rule; Only kill when necessary.
I love how it all comes together!
