Quranic Verses and Hadiths about the faithfulness to PARENTS in Islam

[𝐀 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝]

“And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age (while) with you, say not to them (so much as), “uff”, and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.” (QS. Al-Isra : 23)

“And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up (when i was) small.” (QS. Al-Isra : 24)

“They ask you, (O Muhammad), what they should spend. Say, “Whatever you spend of goods is (to be) for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”  (QS. Al-Baqarah : 215)

A man asked the Prophet(PBUH)

“O Rasulullah, who are among all human beings should I interact more properly?

” The Prophet replied, “Your mother” He asked again: “Then who else?” The Prophet said : “Your mother” The man repeats his question: “Then who else?” The Prophet replied: “Your mother” He repeated the question again: “Then who?” Rasulullah SAW answered: “Your father”.

A Hadith Narrated by Abu Dawud

“O Rasulullah, is there still a way of devotion to parents after they die?

” He replied, “Yes, by praying, asking for forgiveness for them, carrying out their will, connecting relationships that can not be connected except their way and glorifying their friends.”
