Kerala Blasters Vs Jameshedpur Review Threads (Blasters POV) #YennumYellow #ISL
Again started on the same formation. However, with key players like Rahul and Jeakson missing. Kibu has to juggle a bit. He had to start a foreign CB pairing. That means Juande has to be on bench. Also our next DM Jeakson is suspended. This led to Vicente playing the DM role.1/13
However, Vicente indeed had freedom to step out. But that's a role to deep for Vicente. Rohit played the usual Vicente role and done ok. But this game will always be what if? However initially in the first half we struggled to progress the ball through middle. 2/13
Sandeep playing RB is brilliant from a defensive perspective and he is kind of improving on his deliveries into the box also. But he has lot to improve if he is going to be mainstay in RB rather than a makeshift one. I would say he is the best one-one defender in the squad. 3/13
Sahal keeps on improving as the season goes by. I said he has to improve his decision making in and around final 3rd. Yesterday game was testament that he is working on it. Still has long way to go. Especially shooting and set piece delivery etc. But he is improving. 4/13
Putiea played as LW in the first half and Sahal RW. They switched in second half. Putiea had a really good game too. provided some good crosses into the box. But the problem is when Putiea and Sahal plays on wings. We lack the pace through the wings. Again What if Rahul? 5/13
One thing has to be said is the linkup between Murray and Hooper. Its clear to see both of them likes to play with one another. How one creates space for other. Kudos to Kibu to play Hooper in a slightly withdrawn role. There is goals in this partnership. 6/13
Wasn't Hooper the unlucky guy. Scored twice. Ruled offside the first one. That's a VAR offside call. I didn't understand how linesman spotted that with naked eye. Maybe Hooper's hand was offside. But we have to put that lines and stuff to decide that. 7/13
Then the second one. OMG. What to say. It was inside. Goal line technology, goal lien ref would have given that. Commentators no one appealed. That's not true both Sahal and Hooper did, they were closer to the goal. 8/13
As I said in my last thread luck is a factor in some of the football games. The linesman spotted Kone handball last match and this game didn't spot the ball went over the line. Called a very tight offside. Margins that led to blasters losing 4 points. 9/13
Then also we had other chances also. We should have finished the same. It shows still we lack a clinical finisher in this side. 2 times woodwork apart from the Hooper chance. One or two good saves. But the major positive we kept creating chances. 10/13
Murray probably would have scored any other game. Again lack of an Indian ST to throw in when it was just not your Foreign ST's day is hurting us. As I said after the game this would probably be the highest XG match blasters would have had this season. 11/13
5 games Unbeaten. This team has come a long way. There is significant improvement in most of the Indian young players. Where are the people who mocked me when the "Trust the Process" is mentioned. I think now you got what it meant. 12/13
There will be dark pits in future also. These people will come back with full force again at the first fall. But as I have been saying from the start. Don't look at results this season. Look at the improvements. Look at the stability. Ignore all the noises. One game at a time.
