A thread of things that make me happy (so that I can look back on them later):
I figured that instead of feeling bad about talking, I could simply make a thread + tag so that y'all can mute me if you find me annoying :)

1. Taking pictures of the clouds.
I've enjoyed doing this for a long time (I even used to have an insta where I only posted sunset pics). It helps me keep track of time and gives me something to look back upon fondly, even if I don't do anything else.

2. Making homemade noodles.
As with all things that require a manual labor of any sort, making noodles is a deeply therapeutic act. To make something delicious with your own hands, from start to finish, is incomparably satisfying.

3. Black-out poetry.
When writing gets too frustrating, it's always so calming to make these. Even if no one ever sees them, I enjoy looking back on them and being able to enjoy something small I made, even if it was within the confines of someone else's words.

--I eventually wisened up and started using digital book pages and my phone's ruler to make the final poems look nicer.
These are made with Natsume Soseki's "Kokoro."

4. Writing in cursive.
I love handwriting anything, and, sometimes, I accidentally make something that looks very beautiful. I try to write at least a little every day, but I wish I had more time to devote to writing slowly, deliberately.

5. Taking pictures of random things.
I don't know why I do this, honestly. But, I just think it's fun to put the things I get to some kind of good use. It's just something fun that passes the time and leaves me feeling a little happier.

6. Sending letters
I feel like sending personal letters is a dying art. Even though it's impractical, nothing beats the surprise of a letter from a loved one showing up one day. It's a simple delight that should be taken advantage of more often.

7. Drawing these things.
I honestly don't know what to call them (wiggles? A silent expression of the uncertainty of my soul? idk.). Regardless, they are my entire art style—it's all I can do.

I feel like everyone will end up muting this thread bc I'm very boring and annoying but... making this somehow makes me feel a little better, a little more complete.
