Some international news agencies and newspapers consider that journalism just means reporting from official or well-established sources like scientists. This stupid, narrow idea of journalism has become the n° 1 tool of disinformation for authoritarian states.

Journalists are allowed to use their brains, when they deal with an authoritarian State like China or Russia which uses media to spread fake news. And we are even allowed to prioritize information and draw some obvious conclusions like Covid-19 coming from frozen food is BS.

Also, the fact that major Chinese health officials and scientists are spreading the fake news about Covid-19 coming from frozen food, should really warn us about the fact that Chinese scientists are not reliable anymore, as they are under very strict political control.

It doesn't mean Chinese scientists are bad - they are among the most advanced and outstanding in the world. But they are not reliable anymore, when the party is able to force them to publish and quote articles that are obvious propaganda and disinformation.

One day, Chinese scientists will be able to talk freely about those days, and we will understand that parts of their work was similar to Soviet science used by USSR to prove they could create a New Man (see Lysenkoism and the campaign against Darwin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysenkoism ).
