So this week's Reddit shenanigans have been very interesting to watch, both as yet another manifestation of online crowds (wrote ab that too) and because I am very interested to see how quickly regulators step in (and how) https://www.ribbonfarm.com/2016/09/15/crowds-and-technology/
This is what I think of now when I think about dynamics of information flows online today regardless of topic (mis, dis, harrassment, whatever). As I understand it, each bird can see the 7 birds next to it & acts in response to the actions of those birds.
