Thread: For anyone wanting some insight on whats going on with Gamestop stock and hedge funds.
Before I start I want to mention that I am a regular WSB user for about 2,5 years and I do have investments in #GME so yes I do have stake in the game but this is more than that.

This will be many of you’s first time hearing about Wall street bets, and maybe even your first dip into how trading works. Some time back the community discovered that several hedge funds had shorted gamestop stock to ridiculous highs, and they realized an opportunity.
These hedge funds are betting on a companys downfall, they make money when you, the small investor lose. These shorting positions, extending over 150% is the same type of greed that led to the housing crisis in 2008, they feel untouchable.
What’s happening now is nothing other than a robin hood movement, we are redistributing the money from wall street fatcats to you, the average person. And wall street hates this, they will do and are doing everything in their power to stop you.
We have seen incredible lies and manipulations trying to supress our voices, they want to earn another billion, while we lose everything. On WSB last couple of days I have seen people euphoric because they can now pay off student loans,
They have paid off their house, car, medical debt, hospital for a sick relative, even a dog could be saved because a user could pay for its surgery. We are just normal people trying to take back what the mega banks have stolen from us.
Right now we’re in the most pressing time, big capital firms have decided to double down on shorts and are betting billions of dollars so that we can lose everything, no more debts and loans paid off. They are greedy beyond belief, they are what’s wrong with finance.
If you decide to join, know that this is a movement, a modern day robin hood, every single stock purchased helps the cause, only together can we teach wall street that enough is enough. We cannot allow them to bully us anymore, we dont want to live off of their scraps.
If they lose, they’ll have a beautiful golden parachute saving them and setting them up for life, we’ll be left with nothing, we have no parachute. I hope this has helped you understand everything from a small investors standpoint.
