If you don't know anything about who is behind the enterprise, if they are cagey about who/what they are DON'T ENTER/SUBMIT.

If they are above board they will tell you who they are.

2/2 If you've never heard of them, ask around. There are so many scammers out there, as some have found to their cost recently and in the past. Please don't part with money unless you are sure the zine/comp is legit.

I'm adding a third point to this: If a competition has an entry fee of £5 or more and a low prize e.g. £100 (and often less), I'd strongly advise giving it a miss. Always look at entry fee/prize ratios.
