Many of us understand abuse and intimate partner violence through an assumption of physical strength based on size due to misogyny and binary ideas of gender but this erases the fact that anyone can abuse you if they want to no matter their body size.
Sizism and fatphobia erases big/ fat/ tall, people as victims of abuse and IPV.
Assuming that someone being bigger affirms their ability/ capacity to abuse erases fat/ big folks’ victimhood and perpetuates that small/ thin people can have less ability to abuse. That’s violent.
