In a Facebook post tonight, St. Paul's Anglican Church, Pt. Edward, is the latest to publicly oppose MP Marilyn Gladu's petition to amend or withdraw Bill C-6, legislation aimed at criminalizing #conversiontherapy.
It's the third church group to come forward saying they were never contacted about the petition, though Gladu told parliament it was supported "by the majority of the 91 churches in my riding."
UPDATE: The Sarnia-Lambton Children's Aid Society has issued a statement in support of Bill C-6.
"We acknowledge the hard truth that Sarnia-Lambton has not been the most accepting place for 2SLGBTQ+ people..."
