10: The Roots

I was introduced to the roots less than a year ago and I have absolutely fallen in love with their music. The instrumentals are perfect, and Black Thought’s rapping has never ceased to amaze me.
9: Common

I still have never heard a song from Common that I didn’t enjoy. His calm delivery and laid back beats provide some of my favorite music to listen to when I just want to relax.
8: Denzel Curry

In my opinion Denzel Curry is one of the brightest young stars in hip hop. Every album sounds different in its own unique way, and they are all phenomenal. I look forward to seeing what else he has in store for us.
7: MF DOOM

Truly the illest villain. From the first time I heard his music I was intrigued, I love his ability to rhyme and make music from a variety of personas. Rest In Peace to a true legend.
6: Danny Brown

Danny was a bit of an acquired taste for me but once I got into him I have not been able to get enough of his music. Between his unorthodox beats and crazy flows, he makes some pretty fire stuff.
5: Pusha T

No one has a better delivery than Pusha T. This mans makes you feel every syllable of every word, and he has never missed on a feature. A true 🐐
4: Lil Wayne

Wayne has to be one of the most entertaining rappers of all time. So many good mixtapes and tha Carter series is one of the best album series of all time. His energetic flows will never get old.
3: Travis Scott

Quite easily my favorite trap artist, Travis Scott has insane replay value. I loved Astroworld upon first listen but it has only grown on me from there. The psychedelic vocals are something I can’t seem to resist.
2: Kanye West

What else do I need to say other than that I’ve had 8 different Kanye albums be my favorite? He has an amazing ear for beats and always keeps me entertained as a dedicated listener.
1: Eminem

Em has been my favorite rapper for pretty much my whole life now, starting when I was a kid. His music is full of crazy flows, hilarious bars, wacky beats, and overall he is just very entertaining to me as an artist, not to mention a likable guy as well.
