/ Interoperability between ecosystems is key. Not just between blockchain ecosystems but also existing networks, seamlessly and at such scale that it can be the foundation for the evolution of today's Internet. An Internet which is secure and inherently trustworthy
🧵👇 $QNT
/ The early days of the Internet has a lot of similarities with the blockchain space today, back then ISP's were creating their own siloed networks just as blockchain ecosystems are building in isolation today.
/ There are currently basic forms of interoperability between 2 ecosystems such as bridges, but each bridge is limited between just 2 blockchain ecosystems and with each needing their own custom integration between every combination of blockchains, this just doesn't scale well.
/ If you were to have bridges providing direct connections between 1000 Blockchains, you would need 1 million bridges. Alternatively, if you have to hop across many bridges then this adds a lot of latency and different levels of trust depending on which path was taken.
/ Other interop solutions use a blockchain in the middle and/or require connected blockchains to fork their code to implement the protocol. This enforces restrictions on what the connected blockchains can implement going forward and issues around how do you do an upgrade?
/ This adds a lot of overhead as well as a single point of failure. How do you ensure there is sufficient security to transfer the entire world's assets? It would have to be faster than the combined throughput of every connected blockchain, it's always going to be a bottleneck.
/ So how do you connect all these different blockchains, regardless of what consensus mechanism they use, whether they are permissioned (Hyperledger, Quorum, Corda etc) or permissionless (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple etc), fast or slow,..
/ blockchain or DAG, any future blockchains as well as legacy off-chain networks so that they are part of one common network despite all the variations and diversity? How do you do it in a internet scalable, standard driven and future proof way?
/ Quant takes inspiration from the protocol that rules them all: TCP/IP, which has been dominant for the last 40+ years. TCP/IP was designed to be future proof by isolating the different layers so that they didn't have any knowledge of how it was being carried (see images)
/ Like with TCP/IP, Overledger is also designed to be future proof by isolating the layers so they don’t care which blockchain is being used, what consensus method etc, each layer is only interested with the data within that same layer.
/ It doesn’t require blockchains to fork their code to make it compatible, it doesn’t add the overhead of adding another blockchain with another consensus mechanism. It's not a blockchain itself but uses the security and trust by running on top of them. https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1312298738891841537
/ You aren't locked into one blockchain ecosystem and instead can migrate between them / build Multi Chain DAPPs that span across multiple blockchains with composability across blockchains and existing networks whilst seamlessly integrating into existing networks
/ Based on global standards that Gilbert founded ISO TC307 which 60 Countries are currently working towards. This is vitally important for Enterprise / Government adoption and designed from the start to adhere to those rather than have to redesign later

/ So how far along are Quant to providing that crucial piece of scalable interoperability across ecosystems?

Overledger currently connects all the leading Enterprise blockchains - Corda, Hyperledger, Quorum as well as Public blockchains such as $BTC, $ETH, $XRP, $XML, $IOTA
/ They are currently integrated into Europe's largest payment provider network in SIAChain, working with governments, central banks, cloud providers, Fintech partners with Oracle and much more which you can read in this article: https://medium.com/@CryptoSeq/why-quant-has-the-potential-to-be-an-incredible-long-term-investment-89b86d1921fd
/ But the connectors are currently created and maintained by Quant and are mainly enterprise focused. Enterprises can connect each of these nodes to Overledger to provide Interoperability between them but what about connecting to resources that they or Quant don't run?
/The Overledger gateways will create a horizontally scalable p2p network where gateway operators can advertise and sell services, data, APIs and any other off-chain/on-chain integration or resource to connect to your gateways for the ecosystem to consume https://medium.com/@quant_network/the-overledger-network-marketplace-676a32e54cfa
/ ODAP is a proposed Internet IETF standard for an open blockchain agnostic protocol that enables interoperability between ecosystems through gateways, similar to how BGP protocol enables communication between different AS through gateways (BGP Routers) https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1341410254081433616?s=20
/ The open source connectors will be made available so anybody can easily connect their blockchain / API / monetise services to an Overledger gateway, connecting to Overledger Network and benefit from being part of a network of networks, creating positive feedback loops.
/ Overledger Network will also provide interoperable layer 2 payment channels for multiple blockchains enabling rapid payments and reducing gas fees by up to 93% whilst seamlessly integrating with existing financial networks https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1347492155292581888
/ You can think of a single Overledger instance providing interoperability between local nodes as providing interop within your local network. Overledger Network is the Internet that connects them all together and interop with resources you don't have access to locally.
/ There is so much going on in the background and the scope of this project is difficult to comprehend. Quant's approach can enable that end-game scalable interop between ecosystems for blockchains to achieve exponential growth like with the Internet. https://twitter.com/CryptoSeq/status/1341410210641002496
/ If your going to read just one thing on Quant $QNT then I would recommend this article

https://medium.com/@CryptoSeq/why-quant-has-the-potential-to-be-an-incredible-long-term-investment-89b86d1921fd

$QNT has to be the most undervalued token there is by a considerable margin. At just $300 Million FULLY DILUTED market cap, the upside potential is enormous 🚀
