(Thread) watched a lot of film of Heupel's offense here is a simple break down via pros and cons:

PROS: *Good at running the ball out the spread, zone and counter designs heavily used
*can be very explosive, gets athletes out in space
*goes fast to keep the defense off balance
(Pros continued)
*emphasizes down field passing game to put pressure on corners and safeties
*pretty balanced play calling with a lot of play action also can keep defense on their toes
*tries to adjust to what the quarterback does well
CONS:
*can be predictable based off tendencies you can easily pick up on (example: almost always runs again after a successful 1st down run)
*relies heavy on play action so if run game struggles so does team
*love of the deep ball can lead to long 3rd downs
(Cons continued):
*fast style of play can lead to very fast 3 & outs putting strain on your own defense
*lots of 7 man protection leads to 3 man routes (may be cause bad line at UCF, not sure)
*explosiveness seems to be more on player than scheme (example: forcing missed tackles)
That's what I got from watching about 40 mins of game tape. Offense can be fun and create big plays but also can get predictable and stagnant. Gonna be a lot of fun to see a big play down field passing game and equally as much frustration with quick 3 and outs and drives
