not having a gender identity is so fun cause you don't have to give a shit about micromanaging how every single person perceives you since it doesn't actually tangibly change anything and then you get to just focus on how you want to be for yourself
why more people don't realize that going in this direction would be infinitely more freeing to gnc individuals and their sense of self acceptance than creating 2848284 new identities to fit under and stress out over i will never understand
as long as you like who you are it doesn't matter. the goal should be that not getting every single other person to conform to how you experience gender and then priming yourself to get ridiculously upset when people obviously don't get it or they disagree with it
when new shit is made up every 2 seconds anyway
like we should be actively detaching ~gender~ from dictating your personhood or worth or right to exist or being the essence of who you are so it can actually be discussed without people thinking you're violating fundamental human rights by just questioning it
but instead people are doing the exact opposite and making it inseparable from one's humanity (and almost religiously so) so no actual meaningful discussions can be had ever and it reinforces that extreme reaction in many trans ppl when anyone criticizes gender separate from them
and feminists do have the right to criticize gender because you can never actually separate it from misogyny
