#XSpoilers. I wish I liked Excalibur. I love the cast - it has four of my top favourites in it. But it really just does nothing for me. The absolute drama of Betsy shattering in XoS and the resolution is “oh she got punted into the body of another Betsy who’s queen of England.”

But then we get zero exploration of that reality beyond “she shagging Warren and he used to be married to Kwannon.” And the queen somehow explicably predicted another Betsy might end up in her body and wrote a special letter just in case? It’s just really...not good. #XSpoilers

#XSpoilers everyone boycotting X-Men because of Booth on art missed out on...not much at all lmao. Dreadfully dull filler issue, the only saving grace being Scott and Jean in their 90’s X-Factor costumes. The Vault arc seriously needs to inject some excitement into this book.

It was nice to see Sam and Bobby again at least, and twice this week as they cameo in New Mutants too for Doug’s Wedding Reception. And New Mutants was definitely the strongest showing for the Krakoa era this week. Really nice character work and I love the art #XSpoilers

Overall though, Reign of X is off to quite a middling start for a lot of the X-line, like we’re just killing time until the next big thing comes along in the Hellfire Gala.
