1/ Just spoke to the Nurse at my dad's PCH -apparently him falling out of his chair is a symptom of covid now. NOT b/c the fact he's 83. Not b/c he only has 1 leg. Not b/c he has major neurocognitive disorder. Not b/c he has been restricted from his physiotherapy for over a year.
2/ He has now a fever after he split his head open after falling out of his chair as he tried to turn off the lights. They are trying to tell us he has Covid. That tests produce "false negatives." What's happening in care homes is criminal. We are in contact with lawyers.
/3 We are in the process of moving him out. I write this b/c if you have a loved on in a care home, they will treat anything and everything as covid. They may not get the right treatment. This is malpractice. Your loved one might be in danger. Get them out if you can.
/4 We were verbally shamed for our medical requests. He's being moved to another area b/c we refuse to keep testing him. We were told that we don't care about covid b/c we wanted them to look at his injury and not treat is as covid. Our medical facilities are not to be trusted.
