We must #ActOnClimate, and today’s Executive Orders demonstrate the Biden-Harris Admin’s commitment to #SolvingTheClimateCrisis by:
🌎 pausing new oil and gas leases on public lands & offshore waters
👷‍♀️‍ restoring labor standards to support good-paying, union jobs
⛽️ directing federal agencies to eliminate fossil fuel subsidies
🇺🇸 establishing a National Climate Task Force
🏭 strengthening environmental justice monitoring & enforcement
👩🏽‍🔬 restoring scientific integrity by making decisions guided by the best available science
As Co-Chair of the House Oceans Caucus, I applaud President Biden for recognizing the importance of working with stakeholders, including Tribes and fisheries, to identify strategies to conserve at least 30 percent of our lands and oceans by 2030. #30x30
