Seriously, stop & think for a moment: the Nazis were losing to Britain, the US & the allies yet increased resources for exterminating Jews despite having zero military value. Because the Holocaust WAS the war. Jews WERE the enemy. Exterminating Jews WAS victory in Nazi ideology

Even as the allied armies were closing in on Germany -Nazi guns, bullets, resources & manpower that could have been used to fight them was used to kill starving emaciated Jews instead. There is no understanding of the Holocaust without understanding the centrality of AS to Nazism
