My bill for electricity is around 60 CAD monthly and that is about 20,000 Naira. Guess what? It never blinks.

I don’t know what your point is https://twitter.com/4eyedmonk/status/1354476615863062532
Seeing Buhari types incessantly discourage people from moving to Canada, citing the famous ‘It is hard’ and ‘You will find it difficult to pay bills’ lies.

I should do a short thread
The rent for most ‘luxury’ Apartments here (my province Alberta) range from 1100-1500 CAD monthly (2 bed, 2 baths ish kind of apartment). Note that most of the apartments here are pre-furnished with cookers, washing machines, dryers, dish washers, microwave ovens and so on
Also, when you pay rent for most of the apartments, it includes Heating, Water, Sewage, parking. If you are lucky, some of them come with free unlimited Internet and cable... leaving you to pay just for Power which ranges from 30 CAD to 80 monthly depending on use
Then you pay Car and House insurance bills, credit card and so on... all these ain’t a lot.

Minimum wage in my province is 15 CAD per hour, and so even with a full time (40 hours weekly) minimum wage job, you get to pay your rent and bills comfortably
As time goes on, you get a better job, pay your bills and credit card on time so you are Credit worthy and before you know it, you buy your own House and brand new car. May be a bit difficult at the beginning but if you are hardworking here, you’d do very well
Hard work and merit are rewarded here. Work as many jobs as you can, write exams do your qualifications are standardized and you find yourself earning more than 100 CAD an hour here.

Pay no heed to the witches and wizards trying to discourage you. This place works
Of course, I won’t talk about the winter. Come and find out yourself đŸ€“đŸ€“đŸ€“đŸ€Ł
