Guide for Ahgases on how to blend with the AOMG System: A thread

This thread is made from the POV of person who is both an Ahgase and an AOMG stan. I tried my best to explain how the system works there. And I hope we two fandoms could blend together as a family if Yugyeom joined there.

AOMG is a Korean hip-hop plus rnb label which was formed by Jay Park on 2015.

Jay Park is a Korean-American artist(mans worked in so many fields it's impossible to list) who was scouted by JYPE & after training for 4 years, debuted in a boy group 2PM as their leader & eldest member. He came alone to Korea & was not familiar to Korean culture/language.

In September 2009, he was forced to leave 2PM& return to US because of a MySpace comment he wrote in 2005 about Korea and Kpop [He has multiple times apologized for this & his fans don't like people talking about that again & again. That was a mistake of a 18 y/o Jay]

He had to face tough financial times back in the US and had even worked in a tyre shop. He later became vital on YouTube (around 2010) for covering BoB's Nothin' on you and this led to his return to Korea, as a new improved version of himself.

After building his solo career for 5 years he established a hip-hop label called AOMG (The name comes from his bboy crew AOM back in the US) Later many artists signed under that label and AOMG is now the most prominent hip-hop label in Korea.

Mind you, there are no open auditions to join AOMG. You have to either be an already established artist or you should be able to capture the interest of the company by your performances in any other places. Yugyeom is an already established artist so he is demanded by AOMG.

Jay also has another label called H1ghr music which is also a hip-hop label but it rather focuses on international market and is a house for global artists.

AOMG is known for giving creative freedom to the artists and the artist get more profit from their music than the label itself. AOMG artists are also known for frequent collabs and surprise releases. And everyone promotes eachothers contents on their social medias.

They are very supportive of each other and consider AOMG as a family of friends.

Mind you they joke around a lot and if you easily get offended on the slightest bickering of friends than AOMG is not your type.

Now few unspoken rules I would like to point out:
1. They are a HIPHOP label so you should not be running around asking Aegyos to the new version of Yugyeom. He's already our cute giant maknae, you don't need to make him act cute.

2. Don't talk about Yugyeom on other artist's live/posts. This is childish and disrespectful.

3. Don't try to gatekeep Yugyeom and let him be friends with other artists too.

4. Streaming is not a big deal there. No one cares about numbers. All they care about is you enjoying the music and streaming just because the song is a bop. Even my favourite song of Jay Park has less than a million views.

5. If you ever go to a concert of AOMG artists for the sake of Yugyeom, please do a bit research about other members too. It would be disrespectful if the crowd does not cheer up other artists.

Expect explicit songs too. He's no more a 16 y/o kiddo that we need to infantilize. AOMG artist always get bras and pantis thrown at them in their concerts

Due to the 2PM incident, Jay and JYP are not on good terms and Jay even released a diss track against JYP (I LOVE THAT SONG) Checkout the lyrics of Jay Park's F*ck boy... He talks about JYP being jealous of male idols, being power hungry and acting like a kiddo even if he's 49.

So, Yugyeom joining AOMG is a slap to JYPE and I love that. Jay takes care of his artists pretty well and I hope he takes care of Yugyeom too. I trust in my favourite CEO @JAYBUMAOM

And a fact about AOMG and H1gher music is, AOMG are friends of Jay and H1ghr are lil bros of Jay. Mind that H1ghr's maknae is 16 y/o still very less amount of people have ever requested him for aegyo. That is not a thing in hip-hop culture.

Do you remember JYP scolding Youngjae for opening his mouth too much while singing in a show? Well, Jay has too roasted his artist in a similar manner, but what Jay did was sarcasm and what JYpee did was disrespectful. And all the AOMG and H1ghr artists love to roast eachoBther.

But that is too ofcourse done in a limit. The artist love each other and promote each other. Tiburon would be definitely happy to be in such a crazily lovely fam. Be happy for him and let's love AOMG just like we love Sublime IF YUGYEOM SIGNS THERE.

And of thread. ( But I may list some AOMG songwriter for new enthusiasts!)
