I am an honest taxpayer. It is my taxes that make subsidies for farmers possible. And yes, there are HEAVY subsidies given to farmers. So, if anyone ignorant fool comes and says I don't care or contribute for them, then buzz off. You have no right.

And yes, I don't burn the Capital because some people earn tax-free income and I don't. I work harder at my craft and pay more tax because I am responsible. Because I can see that welfare economics doesn't work if there is nobody to fund that welfare.

To everyone justifying this violence as a means to get the Government to listen, please answer why the Farm Leaders rejected every single proposal including the SC committee? Why did the Farm Union representative resign?

It was the representative's responsibility to ensure the farmers got the right share of reforms. But he backed out. THIS is the truth nobody wants to talk about. Everyone wants to justify violence because nobody listens to them.

Keep an eye on the budget on 1st February. Please see how much is allocated for fertilizer subsidy or how much is given as power sector bailouts. How much is allocated to Food Corporation for its debts. And make your own conclusions.

And don't think I'm absolving the Government of any responsibility. This whole mess is squarely because you got overconfident. Indian agriculture is stuck in an impasse because you could not step down and talk. Shame on you.
