why fireproof is about closeting: a thread

ok so this all started when i saw something a while ago talking abt how whenever “fire” is referenced in 1d (and solo) songs, it is talking about closeting. this honestly made a lot of sense when you look at where the word “fire” comes up.

the elements described are obviously representative of some relationship struggle and knowing what we do about ziam and larry, to me that line screams ‘i’ll make sure we get through this shit’

think about this line in terms of fire being a reference to closeting. in the context of the song harry’s just saying he’ll do anything for louis, including having to be closeted.

for this one he could literally just mean it like “we’re hot shit”, but the other lyrics of the song lead me to believe that it’s a not so subtle way of basically saying “we’re in the closet”.

basically the entire song is just talking about getting through the struggles of a long term relationship and given the way we have seen fire used in other 1d songs, it feels very possible that “fireproof” literally just means closet proof.
