Hello! Here's my occasional thread on coronavirus stats globally, with a focus on vaccine delivery.
Today:
- The US has delivered 23.54m doses
- China: 15m
- UK: 7.33m
- Israel: 4.15m
- UAE: 2.03m
- Everywhere else: <2m

Most counties have barely gotten started. Performance in Europe is particularly poor given their national healthcare systems.
On a per head basis, Israel is still winning the race to herd immunity with nearly 1/3 people now vaccinated.
UAE doing well.
UK batting above its weight.
US doing OK.
Everyone else is struggling.

In terms of the % of people fully vaccinated (ie 2 doses), Israel is still way ahead at 16%.
Everyone is is far behind.

Israel: Same story. Cases in decline but deaths still at the top.
The thing to watch in this set of charts as the days go by is whether cases go down and stay down, and whether deaths do the same thing.

UAE: Cases going through the roof and deaths look likely to follow - unless they can speed those vaccines out.
(To be clear: It is too early to tell whether cases and deaths are being driven by vaccine delivery. Israel will likely be the first country where this phenom appears.)
