Just explaining to my flatmate (who is male) some of the things I have had to deal with from men online. Abuse, entitlement, just downright aggressive and rude.
He was shocked and almost refused to accept it. I reminded him that his privilege protected him from it.

Just because you don’t see it it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Men must listen to women and not project how they feel about the behaviour of one of their gender being questioned. A common response is to minimise and erase the woman’s experience (it is VERY common).

My flatmate is sound but he has no idea what most people have to deal with because he is white, male, straight and super tall. He is very empathetic but even still can be in denial.
We all must listen to each other. White people to people of colour, straight to LGBTQI etc.

Oh and neurotypical people absolutely must stop projecting the stigma they have internalised about neurodiversity on to neurodiverse people.
Listen to our actual lived experience. And stop trying to force us to run in your lane and do things your way. It harms us.

Jokes about adhd, autism, ocd, schizophrenia etc are not ok.
“I am a little bit adhd” etc minimises the lived experience of an actual disability (a disability because neurotypical society refuses to make accommodations & disables neurodiversity).
I guess that had to come out!
