If you don’t know your numbers; You don’t know your business!!!!!

As a new business owner you may not need a bookkeeper but you MUST have bookkeeping in place.

Here’s 7 simple bookkeeping tips to help you complete bookkeeping on your own!

1. Separate out business and personal accounts. (All transactions should occur in your business bank account)

2. Subscribe to bookkeeping software (I recommend QuickBooks essentials or plus. Sign up on my website for discounted rate)

3. Sync your business account ONLY
4. Categorize the expenses (all expenses are not created equal so it’s important to place them in the correct category

5. Take a picture of the Receipt and attach it to the transaction on quickbooks (this is a brilliant way to keep Track of your receipts in case you are audited.
6. Track employees and contractors payments

7. Review your financial statements every quarter (this will let you know the health of your business)
