Dolores Cahill recently announced her position as a founding member of Freedom Airway & Freedom Travel Alliance (FAFTA), a company which claims to be able to transport paying members of the public on vacation without the need to comply to COVID-19 travel or country regulations.
FAFTA presently advertises a trip to Ireland for St. Patrick’s day and boasts that the trip is hosted by their “Freedom Fighter, Dr. Dolores Cahill”.
Their website states that the company is a joint venture registered in the United Kingdom & the United States of America.

All it takes to set up an LLC in Delaware is '$90 and a one-page form with three questions - name of the entity, name of a registered agent and a mailing address or P.O. box.

FAFTA is legally registered in the USA, but the motivations of its owners are concerning given the deception of stating it is registered as a joint venture in the UK too.

FAFTA is NOT a registered company in the UK, as demonstrated by it’s non-existence on the UK’s Companies House register.
Concerningly, FAFTA are asking the public to become a founding member by paying an annual fee of 100 dollars upfront to “be used to help FREEDOM FLIGHTS to move our members safely”. They also offer 200 dollar & 500 dollar annual memberships.
Considering the level of anonymity the owners of FAFTA have, their desire to remain anonymous while maintaining an air of legitimacy, their control over company taxation and their request for public funds . . .
. . . it is plausible to consider the possibility that Dolores Cahill may be party to an advance fee & holiday fraud scheme with the potential to commit tax fraud.
The company website bears numerous hallmarks of a fraud scheme such as: 1) No Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy. 2) No identity or documentation required to become a founding member, just a fee.
3) The promised opportunity to travel without having to follow COVID-19 restrictions & guidelines is too good to be true. The 3 upcoming trips advertised on the site are to countries which have closed their borders to overseas travel.
4) The holidays offered are surprisingly inexpensive. 5) The details of the holidays and vacation addresses are missing 5) The site details no policies whatsoever on cancelling or modifying holiday bookings

6) It is unclear what aspect of the business each founding member is responsible for. 7) FAFTA is not a member of any travel association body. 8) FAFTA has no listed phone number or physical address. 9) The only mode of contact offered by FAFTA is a contact form.
Finally 10) The site requests personal details.

Lastly, the FAFTA website is registered to Domains By Proxy LLC which is concerning given that “A significant percentage of domain names used to conduct illegal or harmful Internet activities are registered via privacy or proxy services to obscure the perpetrator’s identity”.
