As a side we 'roughly' garner 0.39 more points per game when he plays over an average performing player.
21 games left of the season- 0.39 x 21 = 8.19 points.

This is some way to try and quantify what he is worth to the club right now.
Obviously there's question marks- Can he stay fit for the next 21 games?
Can we replace him with someone who will perform, in PPM terms on an average level? Could be worth more than 8 points if not.

Not even sure if the transfer rumours are true but if so the club need to work out if his ÂŁ off the wage bill and the fee they get for him is worth what he brings.
It would be a gamble to take, especially when we have no evidence of anybody being able to step into his shoes.
