Today, myself and 50 others, including many from the nursing cohort, are wearing a stoma bag for the day filled with cold porridge. This is to simulate just a fraction of what is experienced by those who require a stoma bag for more than just the one day that we are wearing one.
Over 100,000 people in the UK have a stoma bag, adding to the list of many disabilities that aren’t always visible.
Wearing this for today is but a glimpse of what some patients, friends and family have to go through day-in day-out.

To help support those who have stoma bags, for whatever of the many reasons someone may have one, we’re donating money to @colostomyuk
