Well hey there #WyrdWednesday, have you guys heard of Sir Victor Goddard & his slip through time?
In 1935 Sir Goddard was piloting his plane from Hampshire to Edinburgh. On his journey, he passed over the abandoned RAF airfield in Drem, a site he was well acquainted with.

Drem had been abandoned for a while and nature was starting to claim the land back. Plants were growing over the airfield and cattle now grazed there. Goddard knew all this, so he didn't pay it too much attention.

On the return trip, Goddard encountered a mysterious storm, with yellow clouds and driving rain that made our intrepid pilot disorientated. When the clouds eventually broke he found himself near to Drem Airfield, grateful to see something he recognised.

As he flew over the airfield he realised that something was dramatically different. It now appeared to be a fully operating RAF airfield! He could see mechanics in blue overalls & four planes painted in yellow sat on the runway. But in 1935, mechanics wore brown overalls...

No-one on the ground noticed Goddard fly over & on getting home he told few friends of what he'd seen for fear of ridicule. Oh, ridicule! How many cool stories have you kept from us over the years!

The Drem airfield had been reopened and become operational. Also the RAF changed the colour of its training planes to yellow and even the mechanics overalls had been updated to blue. Everything matched Goddard’s time slip experience!

He eventually published a book about his chrono-adventure, Flight Towards Reality, which came out in 1975. He was also the first person to publish this famous photo (I might be wrong on that!) and he was a firm believer in ESP.

So is Sir Victor Goddard on the level? Well, he certainly had his detractors. On the other hand, he advanced through the ranks of the RAF quickly and survived two world wars, amassing lots of awards on the way.

So until I get myself a time machine, it's going to be the classic 'who knows' from me I'm afraid!
For more info, once again, the library is your friend. Unless you've got a time machine. If you have, can I borrow it when you're done?
Keep it wyrd!

I've actually been informed by @StarDoG23 that Sir Vic is in the famous Freddie Jackson ghost photo. Here it is again, although I'm not sure which one he is
