"Mr. Navalny is a victim of a despicable crime and we call for his immediate and unconditional release," says Wendy Morton, parliamentary under-secretary in the UK's Foreign Office.
"The UK is appalled by the politically-motivated detention of Alexei Navalny on arbitrary charges... The foreign secretary has also condemned the Russian authorities' unacceptable use of violence against peaceful protesters and journalists last weekend."
She claims the UK has galvanised the international community to support Navalny and led international efforts to hold Russia to account.
Roger Gale MP wants Russia expelled from PACE, but Wendy Morton says commenting on possible future sanctions could undermine their impact.
Gale says the Russian ambassador talked to him and made it clear that Navalny is a prisoner who has broken his bail conditions. Gale says this is a gross breach of the Convention on Human Rights.
Catherine West, Labour, wants to see action on the UK's Russia Report that detailed the network of Russian financial interests in the country. "The London laundromat is still very much open for business. The lack of urgency is truly staggering," she says.
"When will we see a list of Putin's ill-gotten gains?" asks @TomTugendhat. He says Navalny's crime was to survive an assassination attempt by the state that now holds him prisoner.
Alyn Smith (SNP) says it beggars belief that the UK government can say it's leading from the front on the Russia issue, when it's not implementing the recommendations of the Intelligence and Security Committee's Russia Report.
"We all support Mr. Navalny and the protesters across Russia and they need to be shown that there'll be actions, not just warm words," says Alyn Smith.
Dr. Luke Evans, Conservative, wants to know what will be done also about Russia using chemical weapons on British soil.
Layla Moran, Lib Dem, points out that Navalny asked to sanction oligarchs Roman Abramovich and Alisher Usmanov, who own football clubs in the UK.
Simon Jupp, Conservative, calls for the immediate release of Navalny.
